🔥 Noche de San Juan
Date: 23rd of june
Fire, friends & ocean magic. Welcome summer the Canarian way.
Every year on the night of June 23rd, the beaches of Puerto de la Cruz light up—literally. Locals and visitors gather to celebrate Noche de San Juan, the summer solstice festival that mixes ancient rituals with a full-on beach party.
What to expect:
Bonfires everywhere. Music pumping. People dancing barefoot in the sand. You’ll see old traditions—like writing wishes and burning them in the fire—mixed with beach BBQs, midnight swims, and all the good energy you can handle.
Why it’s special:
This is more than just a party—it’s a cleanse. The fire symbolizes release, and jumping into the ocean at midnight is meant to wash away the old and welcome the new. Add a few drinks, great music, and thousands of happy people, and you've got a night to remember.
Where we go:
We usually head down together to Playa JardÃn or one of the nearby beaches. Just bring a towel, something to sip, and your best wish for the year ahead.
Staying at Nine? You’re in for a hot (and salty) night.
We’ll go as a group, bring the good vibes, and maybe even a little beach picnic. You’ll go to bed sandy, salty, and smiling.
