How to Get to Nine…

First of all, it's good to know, that when it comes to public transport, Google Maps is not always up to date. So when you look up busses, make sure you double check the website of the bus company Titsa

Tenerife has two airports, the South and the North airport. The closest to Nine is the North Airport.

Bus 343 connects the South Airport with the North Airport, passing by Puerto de la Cruz. You can check the updated schedule here. Once in Puerto de la Cruz bus station, there are several options going up to La Orotava bus station, for example bus 345.

From La Orotava bus station it is a 8 min walk to Nine.

General directions:

From the North Airport there are two airport buses: number 30 and 343, both in the direction of Puerto de la Cruz. With n. 30, stop in Enlace Orotava: it’s a 15 min walk to Nine (up the hill).

From the North Airport you can also take a taxi. This takes 20 minutes and costs between 30 and 35 euro.

From the South Airport you take bus 343 to Puerto de la Cruz and then transfer at El Canario onto a bus to La Orotava bus station. The total ride takes about 1,5 hours.

Busses you can take at El Canario to La Orotava are line 352, 345 and the 101. When you get of the bus at El Canario, cross to the bus stop on the other side of the road.

If you miss the stop, no worries! Continue to Puerto de la Cruz and take it from there (see above).

A taxi to Nine from Puerto de la Cruz is about 10 min ride and will cost around 10 euros.

Car rental. There are many car rental agencies at both the North and South airport and also close to Nine Coliving. The cheapest car rentals can be found at the South Airport. They can be quite cheap, however, addition of optional insurance can make the cost much higher. Tip: Have travel insurance that covers car rentals so that you don't have to pay the additional costs at the rental agency!

Parking in the centre of La Orotava is free although some days you might need to walk a few streets, especially during rush hour. You can find free and safe parking across from Tapasbar Tasca Villera de tapa en tapa. Good to know: blue lines have a limited amount of time you can park on, yellow lines are for residents.
